Lindsey Simpson (she/her) is a Master of Social Work (MSW) clinical intern at Gaithersburg Counseling Center and is currently completing her graduate training at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, where she is pursuing a clinical concentration. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Miami.
Lindsey is passionate about helping teens, adults, and couples navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. She believes healing begins within the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship and strives to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.
Drawing from her background in trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and yoga, Lindsey takes a holistic, strengths-based approach that recognizes the connection between mind and body. She works collaboratively with clients to foster resilience, self-awareness, and growth.
Lindsey’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, relationship concerns, mindfulness, and inner child work. She is especially interested in helping clients understand how past experiences shape present patterns while developing healthier coping strategies.
Lindsey considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients during times of growth and healing. She is committed to providing a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges and discover their strengths.
