As a Senior Psychotherapist, Sara Rothleder, LCSW-C strives to help as many people as possible live fulfilling lives. Sara uses her depth of experience and knowledge as well as her compassionate nature to in all of her work.  Sara recognizes that each individual looks for treatment for their own unique reasons and she utilizes a strengths-based perspective to empower clients to find balance. Sara employs her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in her work with clients. She believes in creating a validating environment where those around her are empowered to create the life they want to live and to feel more in control of their emotions and behaviors. Sara works with clients who struggle with emotional stressors including anxiety, stress, depression, abuse and trauma, relationship issues, and issues surrounding life transitions.

Sara obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Then, Sara earned her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Maryland, specializing in working with Children and Families. As a Clinical Social Worker with over fifteen years of experience, Sara recently spent a significant amount of time working with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents and their families.  In doing so, Sara developed an expertise in helping such clients and their families cope with the effects of mental illness and develop strategies for building better lives.  Sara also has experience working with adults struggling with significant mood disorders.
