If you find yourself experiencing anxiety, difficulty overcoming life’s challenges, or if your relationship with a loved one is suffering, Tamar will work to understand your needs and support your growth. Tamar specializes in working with individuals and couples. She has dedicated her career to helping individuals build stronger relationships with themselves and others.
Balancing self-acceptance work with a practical skills building process, Tamar empowers her clients to create the changes that they want in their lives and in their relationships. She deeply values building positive relationships with her clients. Prioritizing a nurturing and warm environment in session, she works collaboratively with clients to help them access their strengths, and to grow more self-aware and self-compassionate. Throughout her years of experience, Tamar’s clients have often described her as genuine, compassionate, and focused in her work.
Her style is relational, using the lens of attachment theory. She draws on John Gottman’s work, EFT, CBT, trauma informed care, and mindfulness to support her clients’ needs. Her approach is also holistic, as emotional wellness is the result of balance and health in many of life’s domains. Tamar obtained her graduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2007. Her special interests include: anxiety and depression, marital and relationship issues, family and parent-child relationships, teens issues, health and wellness, weight loss, women’s wellness, reproductive issues, self-esteem, identity issues, grief and loss, and seniors and aging.
